Beach Volleyball Starts Off 4-0 at NJCAA Nationals, Advances to Semi-Finals

The Palm Beach State College beach volleyball team is continuing their successful play this postseason.  Coming off a regular season that ended with a Region 8/FCSAA Championship, the Lady Panthers were named the #1 overall seed for the NJCAA National Championship.  The National Championship started on Thursday April 20th with pool play.  The Lady Panthers were put in Pool 1 with Bryant & Stratton (VA) and Gaston College.  Both games ended up 3-0 in Palm Beach's favor.

Winning both games meant the Lady Panthers would advance to the 1st Challenge Round Friday morning, with a matchup versus in-state rival and fellow Region 8 member State College of Florida Manatee.  A victory against State College of Florida and the Lady Panthers would clinch a spot in the semi-finals.  Just like all the other games against State College of Florida, the Lady Panthers prevailed 3-0.

Next up was another in-state rival and Region 8 member St. Johns River State College.  Both teams have already clinched a spot in Saturday's semi-final games.  Palm Beach State continued their winning ways with a 3-0 victory over St. Johns River.  That victory means that the Lady Panthers advanced to the semi-finals on Saturday April 22nd at 10:30am, where they will take on South Mountain Community College out of Phoenix, Arizona.  Winner of this matchup advances to the Final against the winner of an All-Florida semi-final of St. Johns River against Lake Sumter.
