Hawks Come Up Short Against Bryant & Stratton

The College of Southern Maryland Hawks women's basketball team dropped their fifth straight game to open the season, losing to the Bryant & Stratton College (VA) Bobcats 60-44 on Monday night in La Plata, Maryland.

Angeleen Mulero led the Hawks in scoring with 19 points, shooting 8-15 from the floor. She had seven rebounds and three assists. Toyin Allen also scored in double digits as she contributed 10 points, going 4-9 from the floor and 2-3 from beyond the 3-point line. Allen collected six rebounds, four assists, and three blocks.

Amenah Kitchens and Tayloni Ricks added five points each, Jasmine Harper had four off the bench, and Lillian Reynolds tallied four rebounds, four blocks, and two steals with one point.

The Hawks struggled to keep Bryant & Stratton off the boards, as the Bobcats outrebounded CSM 43-21 overall and 13-1 on the offensive glass.
