SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA - The Richard Bland College men's basketball team moves to 5-3 after hosting the Bobcats of Bryant & Stratton (VA) Wednesday evening in a non conference contest.
After trailing 20-38 at the half, Richard Bland showed momentum early on in the second. The Bobcats, however, would outscore the Statesmen 41-37 in the second half to take the 79-57 non conference win. Martin Kawa led the scoring with 17 points and added six rebounds, four assists, and one steal. Larry Howell led the boards with 10 and added eight points. Autrey Barnes and Ibrahim Kourouma chipped in with 11 points each for the Statesmen, while Kevon West tallied five points, eight rebounds, four steals, and two assists.
The Richard Bland men's basketball team next travels to Allegany College of Maryland on Wednesday, November 30th for the third meeting of the season. The Trojans took game one, 75-70. The Statesmen were victorious in game two, 70-48. Tip-off for game three is set for 7pm.
