Durco Surpasses 1,000 Season Assists In Women’s Volleyball Sweep

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College women's volleyball team moves to 10-0 in conference play, 24-3 overall after hosting Bryant & Stratton (VA) Wednesday evening.
The Statesmen swept the Bobcats with scores of 25-12, 25-19 and 25-15. In this sweep victory, Karagyn Durco has surpassed the 1,000 assists in a season mark here at Richard Bland, and currently holds the school records for season assists, season aces, and most assists in a three set match, with three more games remaining in the regular season.
Silaulauinasimativa Aoelua led the attack for Richard Bland Wednesday evening with 16 kills, followed by Sarah Heath with 10. Durco had 34 assists in the three set victory along with two service aces, and 11 digs. Sophia Kaiser and Sydney Phillips had three service aces each, and Rylie Harris chipped in with 15 digs.
The Richard Bland women's volleyball team next hosts Wake Technical Community College Thursday, October 20th at 6pm.
