Idugboe, Weeks, Taylor and Carr Qualify for NJCAA Nationals, Kick-Off Friday
Newport News, VA – The Bobcats traveled this weekend to Christopher Newport for their two-day CNU Qualifier & Combined Events, held at the Freeman Center. Schools in attendance were Charlotte, Commonwealth Throws Club, Fayetteville, Gallaudet, ODU and Winston Salem State.
Our Lady Bobcat, Tracy Idugboe, placed 3rd in the Long Jump (5.32m) and L’Tamra Weeks placed 2nd in the Pentathlon (1624pts)
On the Men’s side, Jason Ferrell and Amir Epps placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in the Men;s 400m finals. Caleb McGirt and DeAnte Bridges placed 3rd and 4th in the 60 hurdles. The Bobcats finished 1st in the Men’s 4x400 relay finals (3.32.41), the team consisted of DeAnte Bridges, Jason Ferrell and Amir Epps.
The Bobcats are back in action at the NJCAA Indoor Nationals hosted at the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg, Kansas. Tracy Idugboe, L’Tamra Weeks, Tijon Taylor and Schavon Carr qualified for Nationals. Nationals begin Friday, March 4th – 5th.
