BSC Defeat Paul D. Camp in Mid Week Match-Up 10-4

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Bryant & Stratton College (23-20) hosted Paul D. Camp for a mid-week match up today at Trant Field. The Bobcats remain undefeated against Paul D. Camp for the season. (6-0)
Josh Reilly on the mound for the Bobcats, through three innings, surrendered six hits and four runs, with three strikeouts.
Paul D. Camp waste no time getting on the board early, Parker hit a one out solo homerun to left field in the first inning. Spence, third in the order, struck out looking for the second out. S Konkel grounded out to first to end the inning.
On the rubber for Paul D. Camp, S Konkel pitched four innings striking out two, while giving up nine hits and six runs.
Kevin Russell lead things off for the Bobcats, came to the plate swinging. On a 0-1 count, hit a long ball to left field to tie the game. 1-1 Evan Antonellis lined a doubled to left, to put the go ahead run in scoring position. Kelon Wesley patient at the plate. Antonellis advanced on a wild pitch, scoring easily from third on a single by Kelon Wesley. Wesley also advancing on another passed ball. Mason Velasquez walked. Connor Hanes sacrificed to move the runners. Kevin Urena kept the pressure on in the bottom of the first inning, singled on a grounder to left. Urena trying to stretch for a double, commits the second out of the inning, not before scoring two RBIs. Van Markinton lined out to second to end the inning. 4-1 The Bobcats held the lead for the deration of the game.
Kevin Urena led the Bobcats offense going 2-3, four RBIs and a walk. Kevin Russell, Mason Velasquez, Van Markinton and Josh DeFransico all contributing multiple hits on the day.
The Bobcats return home this weekend to host a doubleheader against Lenoir CC Saturday, April 28th. Game times at 1pm and 4pm
