Eight Pitchers Combine in First Ever No-Hitter for Bobcats as They Down Mid-Atlantic Christian 23-0
The Bryant & Stratton Bobcats had eight pitchers make an appearance in wednesdays showdown and they didn't allow a single hit, as the Bobcats defeated Mid-Atlantic Christian College 23-0 on Tuesday.
After a scoreless first inning for both teams, the Bobcats got their offense going in the bottom of the second when #24 Carlos Miranda doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. The Bobcats scored five in the third, two in the fourth, two in the fifth, two in the sixth, seven in the seventh,& three in the eighth. The Bobcats tallied three home runs on the day, the offensive firepower by the Bobcats was led by #4 Juan Mejias, #16 Colin Smith, and #40 Diego Morales who homered on his first at bat for Bryant & Stratton, all knocking in runs in the seventh inning. The Bobcats didn't commit a single error in the field. #54 Dinzey Felix had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.#44 Edward Frye got the win for the Bobcats. The pitcher went two innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out two. #9 Sebastian Pagan induced a groundout to get the last out of the game.
