The #12 ranked, 8-1 Men's Bobcats looked to bounce back from their single loss of the season at home against Patrick Henry Community College for this 2015 BSC Homecoming competition. The #15 ranked Patriots also came into the game with an 8-1 record and on an eight game winning streak.
The Bobcats started off strong thanks to a 3-pointer from Greg Heckstall in the opening seconds of the game and were able to build a 14-5 lead through the first five minutes of the game. The lead was then pushed to double digits and the Bobcats were able to maintain that throughout the entire first half. The lead was stretched to 16 after a 3-pointer from Romello Anderson in the closing seconds of the half and the score was 40-24 at intermission in favor of the host Bobcats.
Edward Gordon got the Bobcats off to a great start to the second half by hitting a 3-pointer in the opening minute to increase the lead to 43-24. A steal and dunk from Greg Heckstall gave the Bobcats a 20 point lead with 14 minutes remaining in the contest. The Patriots made a run and cut the lead to 50-38 with eight minutes remaining in the game. The Bobcats answered back with their own run in the final minutes and were able to pull out a 71-53 win over #15 Patrick Henry CC.
Romello Anderson led the Bobcats in scoring with 14 points to go along with 6 rebounds. Greg Heckstall finished with 13 points and 5 rebouts. Jaleel Ferguson finished the game with a double-double with 12 points and was the leading rebounder with 11.
