#15 Bobcats fall against Chesapeake College on the road going into winter break.
To close out the Fall 2022 campaign the #15 Bobcats traveled to Wye Mills, MD to take on the Chesapeake College Skipjacks. This was the first meeting between the two schools with both teams riding multiple game win-streaks going into the game. The first 10 minutes of the first half were very evenly matched with neither team able to take a sizable lead and both exchanging the lead. As the Bobcats got deeper into the half they were able to get going offensively and open up a lead as large as 13 in the closing minutes. The Bobcats led 37-27 at the half, holding a Skipjacks team that averages 90 points per game to 29% from the field and under 30 points. Both teams got off to a slow start in the second half with neither team scoring for the first 3 minutes. The Skipjacks made a strong offensive push shortly after and went on a 25-8 run to take a 7 point lead with just under 10 minutes remaining in the second half. The Skipjack lead got up to as much as 9 in the closing minutes before the Bobcats made one final push but unfortunately could not surmount the Skipjack advantage and fell 68-73 on the road.
The Bobcats now (11-2) were led by #11 Kendall Bynum with 19 points, #24 Cam'ron Jones-Hood providing big minutes off the bench with 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 steals, and #0 Zaire Rogers adding in 11 points.
