Bobcats Get Their Redemption, Knock off Conference Foe Louisburg in a Thriller
The Bryant & Stratton Bobcats welcomed the Louisburg College Hurricanes onto their homecourt last night in a tough conference matchup.
Having just played the Hurricanes just 10 days ago, the Bobcats had one thing on their mind, redemption. Everyone in the gym knew this would be a close knit gritty game and the refs got the memo as well and let the boys play.
To start the game both teams were locked in defensively and there wasn't a score until four minutes in by the Bobcats. The game remained back and fourth with the Hurricanes taking the lead until about the six minute mark when Bobcats made a quick run of alley-oops, and-1s and second chance points (a credit to the Bobcats dominating the glass with 16 offensive rebounds & 44 total on the night) to take a nine point lead going into halftime.
In the second half the Hurricanes were able to make a run in the early stages to get things as close as two but the Bobcats fought together and with the help of #11 Kendall Bynum scoring six consecutive points of his fourteen in the final three minutes, thats as close as it got as the Bobcats held their ground and remaind in the lead to close out the Victory on their home court. The Bobcats were led by #35 Josiah Dow with 18pts, 9 rebs, Kendall Bynum with 14pts, 8ast, & Logan Blair with 10pts, 9reb
Up next for the Bobcats will be another home matchup on 2/4 @3pm against Catawba Valley Community College
