Bobcats Eliminated in First Round of Conference Tournament, Bringing their Incredible Season to an End
The #2 seed Bryant & Stratton Bobcats faced off against the #10 seed Lenoir Community College Lancers at neutral Site Cape Fear Community College in the first round of the conference playoffs on friday.
The Bobcats dug themselves into a deep hole going into halftime down (41-26) due to the Lancers having an almost perfect performance shooting the basketball behind the arc getting everything to fall it seemed like.
The Second half was a different story and the Bobcats had many chances to change the narrative potentially take the lead with the margin closing to within five points, sadly that was the closest the Bobcats would get before the Lancers would lean on their first half lead and take the victory (67-76) in the first round.
The Bobcats were led by #2 Caleb Walker & #10 Josiah Turner with 12pts each.
The Bobcats record setting season has come to an end, not in the fashion anyone would have wanted but still many things to be proud of that they were able to accomplish this year.
They finish 23-7 overall, #2 at 17-5 in conference. Post the best regular season record in program history at 23-6 & best start to a season in program history at 11-1, had win streaks of 7 and 5 games, produced three all-region award winners and the Coach of the Year in Region 10.
