Bobcats Outlast Camp CC in Close Battle, Win Last Home Game of the Year
The Bryant & Stratton Bobcats (7-5) hosted the Camp Community College Hurricanes (7-3) in the last home game of the year for the Bobcats.
There could be a new found rival forming as the Hurricanes kicked off there program this year and came into this contest looking to make some noise in Virginia. For the most part the Bobcats had silenced that noise opening up a 20pt lead early in the first half & if you've been following the Bobcats this year you would see that they have held a lead in every game this year with the exception of 1, yet they have 5 losses. The lead that was set early was deminished by a Hurricanes late run giving the Bobcats an 8pt lead going into the break.
The game from the start of the second half would be much tighter as the Hurricanes would erase the Bobcats lead entirely and take the lead themselves after numerous turnovers by the Bobcats. Thanks to a late run and two big back to back 3 pointers by #10 Airon Jones, the Bobcats were able to seperate themselves and end the night with the Win.
The Bobcats were led by #0 Josiah Dow with 31pts (career high), 6reb & #13 Gamar Powers with 16pts, 7reb (5 offensive)
The Bobcats have 1 game left in the year and it will be on the road to face Baltimore City Community College on 12/22, Friday at 4pm.
