Bobcats Surge in Second Half & Overcome 14pt Deficit to Defeat Louisburg on the Road
The Bryant & Stratton Bobcats traveled on the road to face conference opponent in the Louisburg Hurricanes on Wednesday night.
The Bobcats were in a dog fight to begin the game after losing two rotational players for the remainder of the season due to injury and had some kinks to work out. They would struggle defensively in the first half of this one and find themselves down 14pts at halftime (38-52).
In the second half, it was a completely different script as the Bobcats would tie things up mid-way through the second half before pouring on a lead of their own. Behind great shooting on the night from the Bobcats, 50% fg, 55% 3pt, and 80% from the line, the Bobcats were able to erase the deficit and go on to outscore the Hurricanes by 19 in the second half and escape with the win (97-92).
To finish the regular season off, the Bobcats will host the Johnston CC Jaguars on Sunday evening, 3:30pm in their Sophomore Night game with a shot to finish with 20 wins on the season and lock in the 3rd place position going into the conference tournament.
If the Bobcats manage to win and the current 2nd seeded Fayetteville Tech Trojans losses 2 out of the last 3, the Bobcats will move up to the 2nd seed after having swept the Trojans this season.
