Bio

Head Coach Cliff Coleman is a former standout point guard for the Newport News Apprentice School Shipbuilders, a well-respected program within the region and in the USCAA where he has his name in the history books finishing his career leading the program in assists and steals. Upon his graduation from Apprentice he joined the coaching staff where he would go on to coach for 19 seasons helping the program win 2 National Championships and coach several USCAA All-Americans.

Now the longest tenured coach at Bryant & Stratton within the Men’s Basketball program is coming off the best record in program history (23-7), the best finish in conference play finishing as the 2nd seed & his 2nd Coach of the Year award. During his time at Bryant & Stratton, Coleman has coached 13 All-Conference players and 1 All-American. Coleman has more than established his name in the History of Bryant & Stratton as he looks to make more history for the future.

Coleman & his wife Devona have two sons, Matt who plays professional Basketball overseas and Chase who is a grad assistant at the University of Virginia (UVA) after completing his own collegiate career at UVA as well.
