Coach Lamar Claiborne joins the Bobcats men's basketball staff for his inagural season as the Head Men's JV Basketball Coach for the 2023-2024 season. Coach Claiborne was a graduate of Deep Creek High School in 1997. He attended Christopher Newport University from 1999-2002. His coaching experience began with Deep Creek Middle School and elevated to the creation of a local Grassroots program, TeamPush, where he is the current director and 17U Boys Head Coach. During his time with TeamPush he has sent players to all levels of college basketball to include NCAA D3, D2, D1, NAIA, and Junior College.
