Bio

Coach Nixon moved from Head Softball Coach to Director of Softball Operations during the 2018-2019 softball season.  In 2018, Nixon retired from Princess Anne High School after 35 years,  while holding the position of Head Softball Coach for over 33 years.  His career record at PA included 505 wins and 205 losses. He is the second winningest high school coach ever in the state of Virginia.  Some of his well-known accomplishments: 10 times District Coach of the Year, 4 times Regional Coach of the Year, 12 District Championships, 5 Regional Championships, 3 State Semis, and in 2003 won the State Championships.  Twice in his career, Nixon has been named Virginia High School Coach of the Year and selected coach for the East team in the annual East vs. West High School All-Star game. He is a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, where he played basketball. As a player for over 25 years, he was the most valuable player in four different softball tournaments and a member of the Tidewater Amateur Softball Association (ASA) Hall of Fame.
