Up by 5 at the half, the Lady Bobcats found themselves down by 7 with a little over ten minutes left in the game. The ladies then put together a 9-0 run that was spark from good defense and free throws. The game continued to go back and forth until about 2 minutes left when the Bobcats put together a series of stops that would give them the lead for the remainder of the game. The Bobcats would go on to beat the number 3 team in the conference 71-69. The Bobcats finished with 5 players in double figures. Aneja Kemp was 4/6 from the field and converted on 8/10 free throws to lead the scoring with 16 points. Gabrielle Swinson finished with 14 points and 6 assist. We are proud of the resilience the ladies showed today.
Today's game was the very first Homecoming competition for the Lady Bobcats. The theme of the game was "Hoops for a Cure" to raise support for Breast Cancer Awareness. Both of the BSC Bobcats Athletic teams wore Pink jersey to participate in the schools "Pink Out" festivities.
