Lady Bobcats Fall to Catawba Valley CC 52-56
Sunday afternoon, game two of back to back games would be a test for the Bobcats going against the #4 team in the conference, the Red Hawks of Catawba Valley Community College. The Bobcats got off to a fast start and had a high scoring first quarter, scoring 20-12 at the end of the first. Not so much in the second quarter, only scoring 9 points, they played solid defense and lead at the half 37-22.
The second half was a different story, the Red Hawks came out hot and with a vengeance. They finished the game on a 34-15 run, which ultimately led them to victory 52-56. This gave the Lady Bobcats their first home loss of the season. Tiara Williams led the Bobcats in scoring with 16 points and Felise Keys had another solid game off the bench with 11 points.
The Lady Bobcats are back on the road Friday, December 29th as they face off against Frederick Community College at 8:00pm.
