Lady Bobcats Set Win Streak Record at 15 Consecutive, Hold the Top Spot in Conference as a Result
The Bryant & Stratton Lady Bobcats have set the record for longest win streak in program history (15 consecutive wins) & have taken the 1 seed position in the conference entering the last month of the regular season.
The Bobcats had this one under control the whole time from their smothering defense which held the Catawba Valley Red Hawks to just 21% from the field, 20% from 3%. A good thing to take from this game was that even though the Bobcats leading scorer didnt have her best night, the team was able to step up and put things away (63-43) clinching the record setting win.
The Bobcats have looked incredible this season and with some help in the conference, they have just taken the 1 seed entering the final month. The Bobcats only defeat came at the hands of the Cape Fear Sea Devils, in overtime by 1pt on the road. Since that loss, the ladies have had put together an impressive streak gearing up for a classic rematch.
After this weekend, the Sea Devils suffered their first loss of the season to a team the Bobcats had already defeated - the Louisburg Hurricanes. As a result of the loss for the Sea Devils, the Bobcats now hold the 1 seed as they will now face the same test against the Hurricanes tomorrow on the road, 5pm.
