Bio

Assistant Coach Shareese Grant is entering her first season with the Bryant and Stratton Lady Bobcats Basketball team. Currently Grant coaches with the Boo Williams Summer League in Hampton, VA. & is a professional skills trainer to numerous highly touted collegiate and professional basketball players. Prior to joining the Bobcats, Grant was an assistant coach and in charge of player development for the Princess Anne (Va.) High School Girl's Basketball team during 2018-2020 where she helped develop seven D1 athletes which led Princess Anne to 3 State titles during that time. Grant served as the camp director for the 2019 Tina Thompson Basketball Camp held at the University of Virginia and her most recent role was as the Head Coach for the Maury High School Girl's Basketball team in Norfolk, Virginia from 2021-23.

Not only is Grant a top notch coach but a player as well, she played basketball for Princess Anne High School where her jersey #24 was retired in 2002, and she still holds the record for the most points scored; finishing her High School career with over 2,000 points. She went on to attend Old Dominion University (ODU) on an athletic scholership from 2000-05 and would have an impressive collegiate basketball career with the Monarchs. She was a Kodak Honorable Mention All-American & the first-ever player to be named CAA Tournament MVP for 3 consecutive years. She finished her ODU career with 1,447 points and 376 assists, was a two-time All-CAA performer, & averaged 15.1 points per game as a senior helping lead the ODU Lady Monarchs to their fourth-straight NCAA Tournament, including an Elite Eight appearance in 2002. Grant was inducted into the Old Dominion University Basketball Hall of Fame; Class of 2019. In addition to her collegiate career in basketball, Grant also played professional basketball in Greece.
