LADY BOBS vs. LOUISBURG CC LADY HURRICANES (17-18 SEASON ENDER / BSC SOPHOMORE NIGHT)
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Bryant & Stratton College (7-16) volleyball team opened play at Tidewater Volleyball Association on Monday night, splitting a doubleheader with Louisburg Hurricanes on sophomore night.
Louisburg Hurricanes (18-7) took the first match 1-3 in four sets 17-25, 25-19, 13-25, 28-30. The Bobcats didn't go quietly, a combination of pivotal defensive saves and kills kept the pressure on the Hurricanes as they battled to the very end. After several lead changes, in set four, the Hurricanes powered through to take the win 28-30 in an epic duel.
At the beginning of Game 2, BSC recognized their second year players Ellen Westlie, Savannah Hawkins, Jayda Safford, and Rebeca Hail before they play in their final game as a BSC Bobcat.
After an exhausting Game 1, the Bobcats came out strong defeating Louisburg in three sets 22-7, 25-17, 25-23. The home crowd on their feet, BSC never let up and drove past the Hurricanes to victory, a picture perfect farewell to their second year teammates.
To close out the season, the Bobcats finish 4-11 in conference play and 8-17 overall. Region 10 Division 2 conference championship TBA.
