SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William and Mary Men's Basketball team moves to 10-16 overall after they hosted a makeup game against the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats last night.
Kelby Saunders Jr. began the scoring for the Statesmen with a baseline jumper 1 minute into the game. Richard Bland had a 10 point lead at half, 38-28 and never looked back. The Statesmen outscored the Bobcats 32-26 to earn the 70-54 non-conference win.
Lance Monteiro posted a double-double scoring 20 points and bringing down 10 boards in all 40 minutes played. Monteiro went 5-11 from the perimeter. Nathaniel Lacey had 16 points and 9 boards. Kevon West scored 14 points, going 3-7 beyond the arc. Eric Wood pulled down 12 rebounds.
