Men's Basketball posts 38-point win

Louisburg College men's basketball travelled to Virginia on Wednesday to take on Bryant & Stratton College and did not disappoint. The Hurricanes got out to an early lead and never looked back. The final score was 88-50.

"Terrelle [Bowens] gave us momentum in the first 2 minutes. We got out and ran, played good ball screen defense, and were able to maintain our lead into halftime," said Louisburg head coach Bryan Bagwell.

The Hurricanes not only put together a good half, but played well defensively for the entire 40 minutes—holding Bryant & Stratton to 50 points on the night.

Defense led to good offense as the Hurricanes finished the game 50% from the floor, including 9 made 3-pointers.

Terrelle Bowens had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Bass Diop added 4 offensive rebounds off the bench. De'Shone Hicks added 17 points; going a perfect 7-7 from 2-point range. Jordan Beale scored 15 points. Antonio Patterson and Raja Milton also finished with double figures.

The win moves the Hurricanes to 11-7 in Region X play and 15-10 overall. The team will be back in action on Saturday facing Bryan Garmroth's Catawba Valley Community College at 3:00 pm in Hickory.
