Bobcats move to 19-1
Bryant & Stratton’s women extended their winning streak to 15 games by defeating Catawba Valley Community College 63-43 Saturday in Hickory, North Carolina.
The Bobcats (19-1, 16-1 in their conference) got 14 points apiece from Yvette Sandifer and Latanya Berry, plus 13 from Gabrielle Williams. Sandifer had 10 assists, six rebounds and four steals, Berry grabbed 10 rebounds, and Rakyla Jones had nine points, six assists and four steals for coach Cornel Parker’s Bobcats.
The Royals (6-13) won their second game at Bayside Baptist Church in Virginia Beach in as many days, breezing past a team from New York.

The host Panthers (7-14, 4-10 Old Dominion Athletic Conference) held the Marlins (3-18, 1-14) to 24% shooting for the afternoon and outscored them 21-8 in the fourth quarter to seal the triumph.
Grace Harriman led the Marlins with seven points and grabbed four rebounds. Meadow Dyke had six points and seven rebounds for VWU, which lost 59-42 at home to the Panthers in November.
Trina Lewis had 10 points, six rebounds and five steals for Ferrum, which hit 38.8% (19 of 49). Taryn Blankenship had nine points, six rebounds and three blocks.
James Madison 72, Marshall 63:
The Dukes (16-7, 8-3) led comfortably through the second half in Huntington, West Virginia, as they dealt the first Sun Belt loss to the Thundering Herd (16-6, 10-1).
The Dukes shot 58.2% (32 of 55) from the field. Kseniia Kozlova and Hevynne Bristow scored 12 points apiece for JMU, Peyton McDaniel 11 and Jamia Hazell 10. Heritage High alum Annalicia Goodman had seven points and five rebounds.
Breanna Campbell had 16 points, five steals and four assists for Marshall. Abby Beeman had 15
points, six assists and three steals.
Late Friday
Regent 100, Trinity Washington 28:
Regent scored one of its most lopsided victories ever, rolling past Trinity Washington at Bayside Baptist Church.
Senior Kali Murrell set a Royals record with nine 3-point baskets and finished with 34 points. Regent set a school record with 14 3-pointers.
Murrell’s sister Kaila had 22 points, Layla Turner scored 12, and Lyriq Reyes and Nevaeh Ivory added 10 apiece. Turner and Jabarria Brown had 12 rebounds each, and Ivory had seven assists.
College of Charleston 86, Hampton 57:
Reserve Jada Logan netted 25 points and seven rebounds as Charleston dominated HU in South Carolina.
Camryn Hill poured in 30 points for the Pirates, who led 15-11 before yielding the last six points of the first quarter. They never led again, though they trailed just 40-35 with 7:17 left in the third quarter.
