Yetis Fall Short in Doubleheader with Bryant & Stratton
Shelby, NC - The CCC Yetis came up short in a gritty doubleheader against the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats, dropping both games with final scores of 5–4 and 2–1, respectively. Stellar pitching performances and timely hitting helped the Bobcats edge out the Yetis on Sunday.
Game 1 Recap: Bobcats Rally Late to Top Yetis 5–4
The opening game saw the Bobcats outlast the Yetis in a seven-inning thriller. Hilary Stevenson earned the win with a strong 6.1-inning performance, scattering nine hits while allowing four earned runs and striking out three. Jada Kezema closed the door in the final two outs for the save.
The scoring began early, with both teams exchanging runs in the first inning. CCC pulled ahead in the third, thanks to RBI doubles from Austyn Dixon and Sara Rose Warlick. The Bobcats made it a one-run game in the fourth inning with a solo home run.
The game broke open in the sixth when Berry Rosychuk doubled, bringing home two runs followed by a clutch RBI single from Maleia Truelove to put the Bobcats up 5–4—a lead they would not relinquish.
Despite the 10-strikeout performance from Christian Beaver, the Yetis could not overcome the big inning from the Bobcats.

Game 2 Recap: Kezema Shines in Pitcher's Duel
Game two turned into a low-scoring affair with both pitchers throwing the entire game. From the mound, Strange and Kezema each gave their teams chances to win.
Bryant & Stratton jumped ahead early with an RBI single from Rosychuk in the first. In the fourth, Anaya Jones knocked in another run to make it 2–0. Though the Yetis answered with a run in the sixth off an RBI single from Christian Beaver, Kezema held strong to seal the 2–1 win.
Kezema kept the Yetis high-powered offense off balance all game, not allowing their usual hot bats to get rolling.
CCC's Sayge Strange also pitched a complete game in the loss, allowing only five hits while striking out six.

The Yetis fell to 26-7 with two weeks remaining in the regular season. However, they remain positioned to make a run at the Region 10 tournament in Marion the first week of May. The Yetis will be on the road for the next two weeks leading up to the tournament.
