SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College baseball team moves to 7-32 overall, 7-25 in conference play after hosting Bryant & Stratton College (VA) in the final series game Wednesday afternoon.
An early lead for Bryant & Stratton College sealed the fate for Richard Bland Wednesday afternoon. Richard Bland watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 2-6 loss to the Bobcats. Bryant & Stratton College (VA) took the lead on a single in the first inning. Myles Frazier led Richard Bland at the plate with two hits in three at bats. Codie Maitland took the loss for Richard Bland. The righty surrendered two runs on five hits over four innings, striking out two.
The Richard Bland College baseball team next travels to Camp Community College on Thursday, April 27th for a single, 3pm non-conference game. The Statesmen will then host Camp Community College on Saturday, April 29th for a single, nine-inning game at 12pm. Prior to this game, the Richard Bland baseball team will recognize the program's sophomores for their hard work and dedication to the program during their time as Statesmen.
