The Bryant & Stratton Bobcats watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 3-0 loss to the Apprentice School Shipbuilders on Thursday in Game 1.

#7 Henry Suira took the loss surrendering two runs on five hits over three innings, striking out two and walking one.

The pitching was strong on both sides, the Bobcats sat down six, while the Shipbuilders struck out four.

The Shipbuilders got things started in the second inning when an error scored one run.

One bright spot for the Bobcats was a single by #13 Devin Hicks in the first inning.

#13 Hicks, #43 Ryland Brown, and #22 Witt Scafidi each managed one hit to lead the team.

#1 Jody Luis otero, #17 Jay Leonard, and #44 Edward Frye all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

The Bobcats got things moving in the second inning bringing in five runs.

The inning was accredited to #45 Steven Rodriguez, #19 Dima Cornell- Neal, #20 Josh Rodriguez, & Wilbert Perez (x2) all driving in RBI's to set the lead at 5-0 and propel the Bobcats to victory.

The Bobcats racked up 11 hits in the game. #24 Carlos Miranda and #28 Allan Navarro all managed multiple hits to lead the team.
