BITTERSWEET ENDING TO BOBCATS 2014-2015 INAUGURAL SEASON (ACCOMPLISHMENT RECAP)
While Coach Clemons and his Men's Bobcats team suffered a slim defeat in the NJCAA Region X Semi-Final competitions, overall, this 2014-2015 basketball season has been an outstanding inaugural season for this squad.
Accomplishments:
NJCAA Region X Coach of the Year Carlton Clemons ends the season with his team ranked #13 in the NJCAA D2 Men's Basketball Polls. Clemons & the Bobcats end their season 22-7 overall, 15-5 in conference play and an undefeated 9-0 at home. In his 2nd year as Head Coach, first non-club year, Coach Clemons has a combined coaching record of 38-16, with a 70% win percentage.
Other honors went to former Maury High Star and Bobcats Freshman Forward Jaleel Ferguson who was voted 2nd Team All-Region X. Ferguson ended the 2014-15 season averaging 10.2 PPG, 7 Reb/G, 1.1 Blk/G, and 7 shot attempts a game, connecting on almost 62% of them. Teammates Zachary Johnson & Rahson Robinson, also from the 757, both received All-Region X Honorable mentions.
