Basketball dropped to Wake Tech, Women's Clinched Win in Overtime and VIT Swept Thomas Nelson CC on Homecoming Weekend
Norfolk, VA – Bryant & Stratton College Men’s and Women’s basketball team hosted Wake Tech CC, Southwest Virginia and Thomas Nelson CC to kick-off Homecoming weekend. Men’s basketball split, Varsity dropping a game to Wake Tech CC 60-74 and VIT defeating Thomas Nelson in a 93-73-win, Sunday afternoon. The Lady Bobcats, went down to the wire in overtime with a win over Southwest Virginia 53-50.
Homecoming “80s, 90s and 2000s” dance hosted by Crown Plaza in Virginia Beach, started Friday night to celebrate the weekend of events. Men’s droped a game to Wake Tech on Saturday afternoon 60-74. Taking their conference record to 10-4 and 12-9 overall. Babayel Dia and Darius Huff led the offense with 13 pts, 3 asts and 3stls.
The Women’s team fought to the end with a win over Southwest Virginia for the first game of the day. In overtime, the Lady Bobcats won by three, 53-50 taking their conference record to 7-3.
VIT closed BSC Homecoming weekend with a big win over Thomas Nelson CC 93-73. Trenton Ragin led the charge with 23 pts, 6 rebs and 3 stls. Raymond Williams, Troy Starks and Tahli Oden contributed 16 pts, 15 pts and 13 pts, respectively. The Bobcats are 15-2 on the season.
As Homecoming came to an end, Mr. and Mrs. Bobcat was announced and recognized during our halftime performances on Sunday. Congratulations to Jamil Williams and Tonya Stewart!!!
