Bobcats Set Record for Most Points in a Home Opener Win With 106 vs. Guilford Tech on Veterans Day
The Bryant & Stratton Bobcats hosted conference foe in the Guilford Tech Trojans this past Saturday on Veterans Day in what was the Bobcats home opener.
The game was back and fourth until the closing minutes of the first half when the Bobcats would start to separate themselves, taking a 12pt lead going into the half (55-43). Throughout the game the Bobcats would stay in the lead and not look back as they would thwart all of the Trojans plans at a comeback with a late run to put the game out of reach and seal the win (106-79).
After two close finishes to start the season, the Bobcats were looking to put together a game where it would be clear who the victor was with time still left on the clock and they did exactly what they set out to do in their dominant Victory as they broke the previous record of 104pts scored in a home opener by scoring 106pts and propelling them to 2-1 on the season.
The Bobcats were led by #23 De'Von Brown with 25pts, 6rebs & #0 Josiah Dow with 21pts, 6rebs
