Bobcats Avenge Earlier Loss & Earn Much Needed Conference Win
The Bryant & Stratton Bobcats hosted the Lenoir Community College Lancers Tuesday night in a key conference matchup.
As the end of the season just a month away, any and all conference games are pivotal at this point. The Bobcats entered this contest having lost the Lancers in the conference tournament last year and this year in the second game of the season. So, you can say this game meant a little more going in.
This game could have been put out of reach but it seems that when the Bobcats build a large lead, there is always way to much time left. This same scenario showed true in this game as the Bobcats led by as many as 22pts but the lead would dissolve over the last 5 minutes bringing things as close to 9pts before free throws would wind up putting things away and giving the Bobcats a needed conference win (88-78). You should keep your eyes on the Bobcats and Lancers as it seems a rivalry is forming.
The Bobcats were led by #0 Josiah Dow with 20pts & 8reb, #14 Kyjuan Oden with 16pts & 4ast, and #5 Kimoni Small with 15pts & 6reb.
Next, the Bobcats (14-7) will travel to face Johnston Community College (4-10) who have yet to win a home game in what will be the first matchup between these teams of the season this Sunday, 4pm.
