Woodrum and Dunbar All-Americans at NJCAA Outdoor Nationals
Levelland, TX - "It came down to a dramatic ending at the 2021 NJCAA Division I Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships, presented by the Marines, on Thursday at South Plains College. South Plains won the final event, securing a tie for the national title with Barton County.
In the final event of the championship, the men's 4x400-meter relay, South Plains recorded a vital 10 points to tie for the title. The 4x400-relay team of Shevoie Reid, Isaiah Palmer, Gabriel Woodard, and Khaleb McRae ran a time of 3:06.71 to increase the Texans point total to 110, resulting in a tie for first-place with Barton.
The championship marks the twelfth title for South Plains, second tie, and the ninth title for Barton. The tie marks just the second time two teams tied for the title at the men's outdoor national championship, the first came in 2007 between South Plains and Central Arizona." says NJCAA

The Bobcats finished with two female All-Americans, Kaelyn Woodrum, Sophomore from Balitmore, MD finished 7th in the 400mh finals (1.06.74). Tania Dunbar, Sophomore from Virginia Beach, also finished 7th in the 100mh finals (14.18).
