The Lady Bobcats Fall to Fayetteville Tech CC

Virginia Beach, VA - The Bryant & Stratton Softball team came out strong on Sunday, against the Fayetteville Tech Trojans after tough losses to Pitt earlier in the weekend. Splitting the series with the Trojans, the Bobcats easily taking the first game 10-2, ending the game in the sixth inning but came up shy of the win in the second.

The first game highlighted McKayla Bartley and Jaylynn Scott both going deep,  with each notching home runs over the left center fence in the sixth. Scott finished the game going 3-for-4 at the plate with one home run and three RBIs. Bartley had two RBIs and Sas’kia Stephens finished the game with multiple hits. Grace Wynn took the win on the rubber for the Bobcats, pitching all six innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out two.

In the second match, the Bobcats lost the lead early on but continued to rally throughout the game and decrease the deficit. Mackie started on the mound and was relieved by Cummings in the third. Despite the loss, the Lady Bobcats collected nine hits and five stolen bases with Mackie, Alexander and Scott collecting multiple hits on the game.
