The Bryant & Stratton Bobcats fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 8-2 loss to the Louisburg Communty College Hurricanes on Wednesday in Game 1.
#5 Kaitlyn Covey took the loss for the Bobcats lasting seven innings, allowing nine hits and eight runs while striking out four.
The Bobcats socked two home runs on the day. #5 Covey went yard in the second inning  Asijah Hammons had a four bagger in the seventh inning.
#12 Chloe Gust went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the team in hits. The Bobcats were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error, #11 Isabella Wren had the most chances in the field with six.

#23 Alyssa Galvan led things off on the rubber for the Bobcats surrendering five runs on six hits over two and a third innings, walking one, #5 Kaitlyn Covey threw two and two-thirds innings in relief.
The Bobcats notched three runs in the fourth inning on an RBI home run by Asijah Hammons.
#20 Shayla Hurley, #21 Kira Turner, and #7 Hammons each collected one hit to lead the team. The Bobcats were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error, #7 Hammons made the most plays with four.
