Chesapeake, VA - The Lady Bobcats played two games this weekend. On Saturday, the Bobcats hosted Louisburg CC in a conference game and Sophomore Day. The Bobcats lost at tough game a few weeks ago at Louisburg, so this game was a good match up. The first three minutes, both teams scored just 3-points, then Louisburg went on a 12-point run. However, the Lady Bobcats started to relax and make a run to end the half down 37-34. The second half was just as good as the first, the Bobcats would come away with the win 70-68. Joscelyne Meyers led the Bobcats with 18-points with 4 assist, and Raeonna Stratton had a double-double with 15-points and 10 assists. Also, Ashanti Broughton had a double-double with 13-points and 15 rebounds, while Meara Carter had 6-points and 12 rebounds all in the second half.
On Sunday, the Lady Bobcats traveled to Maryland to play Garrett College. The Bobcats came out playing aggressive and took a half time lead 51-14. They would go on to win the game 86-36. Five players scored in double figures, Joscelyne Myers 18-points, Kendra Johnson 12-points, Regan Wilson 10-points, Ashanti Broughton 10-points and Meara Carter had a double-double with 11-points with 10 rebounds.
