The Bryant & Stratton Lady Bobcats welcomed the Catawba Valley Community College Red Hawks to their home court.
This game was extremley close the last time they faced with the Bobcats winning by three points on the road and at the end of the first quarter the Red Hawks took a five point lead making it seem like there was going to be another close contest to play out. In the second quarter we got a completely different Bobcats group and they poured on a game high twenty-four points to take the lead going into the half up one (35-34). In the second half the same Bobcats who took the lead continued to build on it as they locked in defensively and outscored the Red Hawks in the thrid and fouth quarter by a combined total of (35-24) completeing the victory for the Bobcats (70-58).
The Bobcats were led by #5 Joscelyne Meyers 16pts, 7stl, #35 Jali Tucker with 14pts, 3ast, & #23 Takeira Grant off the bench with 13pts, 2stl
2/19/23
The Bryant & Stratton Bobcats traveld on the road to face the Cape Fear Community College Sea Devils.
This contest was a Rematch from earlier in the season when the Bobcats handed the Sea Devils their first loss of the season after starting (13-0). This game was much closer then the first one as the teams fought hard, exchanging buckets back and fourth which had the Bobcats take a one point first quarter lead but at halftime they would go in tied at (26-26). The Bobcats would come out of the half fast and take a four point lead going into the fouth quarter where they would have their best scoring quarter and take the eleven point win over the Sea Devils.
The Bobcats were led by #1 Malia McCoy with 17 pts, 4reb, #4 Ashanti Broughton with 12pts, 16reb, 7ast (17th double-double on the season), and #5 Joscelyne Meyers with 14pts, 5reb
In the Lady Bobcats next contest they will host the Wake Tech Eagles on 2/25 in their Sophmore night!
