The Bryant & Stratton Lady Bobcats had a jam packed Veterans day weekend in game 1 vs. the Central Carolina Cougars on 11/11 and game 2 vs. the Denmark Tech Panthers on 11/12.
In game 1, the Bobcats showcased their domininnt defense in what was their largest margin of victory so far this season. The Bobcats held the Cougars to just 5pts in the first quarter and the second quarter and would take a commanding (36-10) lead going into halftime.
During halftime the Manor High School JROTC Color Guard paid tribute to the Veterans by showing a Fallen Solider Ceremony put on display, a truely respectful tribute to those who have fallen in the line of duty.
Had the Bobcats stopped scoring at halftime they would still have come away with the Victory as the Cougars would only finish with 32pts total on the night. The Bobcats would continue to score however, and walk away with a lopsided (72-32) Victory.
The Bobcats were led by #2 Jaelyn Brown with 21pts, 2stl & #31 Latanya Berry with 12pts, 12reb (3rd consecutive Double-Double).
In game 2, the Bobcats faced their toughest opponent yet in the Panthers, a game in which was a battle to the last minute. The Bobcats would take a 2pt lead heading into the half (23-21), but in the 3rd quarter for the first time this season the Bobcats trailed at a point outside of the first quarter when the Panthers would flip the script and take a 5pt lead (33-38) heading into the 4th quarter. In the end, the Bobcats would have their highest scoring quarter with a game high 18 that would put the Panthers away (51-49) and give the Bobcats the Win.
The Bobcats were led by #4 Rakyla Jones with 13pts, 7reb & #2 Jaelyn Brown with 13pts, 3reb
