Cape Fear CC Took the Win on BSC's Sophomore Night
Virginia Beach, VA – Saturday afternoon, Bryant & Stratton Women’s Volleyball team marked the final home contest for BSC's Sophomore, who were recognized before the match. BSC fell in 5 grueling sets, exchanging the lead several times, 3-2 (13-25, 25-23, 25-27, 28-26, 6-15) versus Cape Fear CC during their final home match of the regular season at TVA.
“Kaya Cortado had 35 assists. Briana Raisor had 17 kills. Maddie Lindstrom added 15 more and 2 aces. Cape Fear missed some serves at very pivotal moments to keep us in the match and we were able to capitalize and win sets 2 & 4. We dug deep and fought hard the entire way but a few errors at the net early in the night came back to haunt us in the 5th set.” said Head Coach William Stein “In the end, we got stuck in the same rotation as the 1st set and couldn’t execute on serve receive. Maddie was on fire in the 4th set and we couldn’t get her into the front row soon enough to help us in the 5th. Cape Fear was able to close out the match without her being a threat.
