Chris Johnson Walks Off Bland in Extra Innings

It came down to the wire on Wednesday, as the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 13-12, over the Richard Bland College Statesmen.
- An error put the Statesmen on the board in the top of the second to get on the board first, 1-0.
- The statesmen added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after a sacrifice fly, and a single up the middle, each scored one run, 3-0.
- The Statesmen added one more run in the top of the fourth vi a single, 4-1
- Bryant & Stratton got on the board for the first time in the third inning on a wild pitch, 4-1.
- The Bobcats tied the game in the bottom of the fourth thanks to an error, a fielder's choice by Bishop Quarles, and a sacrifice fly by Ben Malone, 4-4.
- The Statesmen jumped back into the lead in the top of the sixth with a single that scored two runs, an error that scored one run, and a double that scored one run, 8-4, and added in three more in the top of the seventh via a two-run homer and a single that brought home one run, 11-4.
- The Bobcats scored six runs on three hits in the bottom of the seventh inning.
- Diego Melendez singled, scoring one run, Chris Johnson hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Nelson Zapata singled, scoring one run, Justin Smith doubled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run, 11-10.

- Hunter Adams singled to left field, helping the Bobcats tie the game at 11 in the bottom of the ninth.
- The Statesmen took the lead late in the top of the eleventh. A dropped third strike scored one run, to give them the advantage, 12-11.
- Zapata homered to left field tying the game at 12 in the bottom of the eleventh.
- With the game tied, Chris Johnson doubled, scoring the game-winning run.
- Derek Arrocha earned the win for the Bobcats surrendering two hits and one run over five innings, striking out seven and walking one.
- Jason Johnson pitched three and one-third innings in relief for the Bobcats surrendering two hits and five runs (three earned) while striking out five and walking two.
- Both offenses were strong at the plate as the Bobcats collected 12 hits and Richard Bland College 12 hits in the high-scoring affair.
- Zapata, Melendez, Smith, and Malone each collected two hits for the Bobcats.
- Johnson and Zapata were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs. The Bobcats amassed nine walks for the game, Quarles, Josh Smith, and Smith led the team with two free passes each.
