Despite a strong first-half performance from the Cougars, which led 45-52 at the break, the Bobcats exploded for 45 points in the second half to secure the victory. The Bobcats' balanced scoring, efficient free-throw shooting (79.4%), and depth proved to be too much for the Cougars to handle while the defensive pressure also helped limit the Cougars' opportunities in the second half, ultimately sealing the win with a 42.4% shooting effort.
Kimoni Small led the charge with a stellar 23 points and a game-high 7 rebounds, while Say'Quon Deas provided a key spark off the bench with a career-high 23 points, including five three-pointers and a team-high 2 blocks.

After a tightly contested first half, the Bobcats pulled away in the second, outscoring their opponents 54-31. The Bobcats shot 51.3% from the field, including 42.9% from beyond the arc, and controlled the glass with 47 rebounds to Guilford's 37. Despite a strong 24-point performance from Guilford's Deuce Ford, the Bobcats' depth and balanced offensive attack, featuring multiple players in double figures, overwhelmed Guilford.
Kimoni Small was outstanding, finishing with a career-high 32 points and 11 rebounds acquiring his 2nd double-double of the season, while Avery Hoggard added 20 points and 12 rebounds earning his first career double-double and setting career-highs in both categories. Kyjuan Oden and Gamar Powers also contributed well-rounded performances.
