The Bryant & Stratton Lady Bobcats hosted the Fayetteville Tech Trojans in a conference matchup on Friday & the CCBC Catonsville Cardinals on Sunday in a non-conference matchup.
The Bobcats looked to start their conference schedule strong as they faced off against a familiar Trojans team who they swept last regular season. The first quarter was the tightest as both teams would exchange baskets and the Bobcats would fight to keep a two-point lead heading into the second quarter.
The Bobcats would have their best defense quarter of the season so far holding the Trojans to just one point as they would extend their lead to 15 at halftime, (32-17).
With the help of the strong second quarter, the Bobcats would use their strong shooting (39%fg, 36%3pt) to propel to the victory, (71-52) while holding the Trojans to (32%fg, 26%3pt).
The team was led by Liv Bodenheimer with 18 pts, followed by Shakerra Reddicks with 15pts, 15reb, and 2stl marking her first double-double of the season.
In game two of the weekend, the Bobcats hosted the Cardinals looking to continue their dominant start to the season.
From the beginning of the game much like the previous two, the Bobcats struck fast and without mercy. The Bobcats outscored the Cardinals 23-12 in the first quarter and would never trail in this as they didn't let up in the second quarter scoring 29.
The Bobcats would cruise to victory in this one, (93-49) & have five different players reach double digits. The team was led by Hailey Harris with 15pts & Shakerra Reddicks with 13pts, 15reb (12 offensive) her second consecutive double-double on the season.
