The Bryant & Stratton College Lady Bobcats hosted with Southwest Virginia Community College Flying Eagles on Friday, December 7th, and then hosted the Wake Tech Community College Eagles on Sunday, December 8th.
The Bobcats were looking to stay undefeated at home on the season as they hosted back-to-back conference matchups. Game one vs. the Flying Eagles was one of the closer contests of the season for the team, but it was a win nonetheless. The Bobcats started the game hot and would outscore the Flying Eagles in the first half by way of 19 points and take a commanding lead at the break. The third quarter was another quarter dominated by the Bobcats as they pushed their lead to 34, effectively putting this one out of reach, but in surprise fashion, it would be the Flying Eagles who got the better of the Bobcats in the fourth quarter, and they would be outscored (8-24). The Bobcats would get the win easily, aside from the fourth quarter, 73-55.
The Bobcats were led by Shakerra Reddicks, with 15 points & 10 rebounds (fifth double-double of the season), Hailey Harris with 13 points, and Rakyla Jones with 8 points, 10 steals, and 11 assists (second double-double of the season)
In game two the Bobcats were back looking to add another win to their conference record and again, they would start fast and this one would be over at halftime up 49-20.
The Bobcats would shoot 50% from the field and 37% from three-point range as they handily defeated the Eagles to move to 7-1 on the season.
The Bobcats were led by Hailey Harris with 17 points, Shakerra Reddicks with 14 points, & 16 rebounds (sixth double-double of the season), Yvette Sandifer with 14 points, 5 steals, & 5 assists, and Rakyla Jones with 8 points, 10 steals, & 10 assists (third double-double of the season)
